Vaaqya ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using Vaaqya you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account data: When you sign up, we collect your email address to authenticate you. You may optionally provide a display name, phone number, and profile avatar.

Usage data: We record credit transactions (humanify, generate, etc.) with timestamps to maintain your credit balance and show your activity history. We do not record the actual text you process.

Payment data: Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy. We receive confirmation of a successful payment and the amount of credits purchased. We never see or store your card details.

Profile photos: If you upload a profile photo, it is stored securely via Convex cloud storage.

2. How we use your information

• To authenticate you and maintain your account
• To track and display your credit balance and usage history
• To send you transactional emails (login codes)
• To process payments and fulfil credit purchases
• To respond to support requests sent to team@vaaqya.com

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Text processing

Text you submit for humanification or generation is sent to Google Gemini AI for processing and returned to you. This text is not stored by Vaaqya after the response is returned. We do not log, retain, or use your text content for any other purpose. Please review Google's privacy policy for their data handling practices.

4. Third-party services

• Convex — backend infrastructure, database, and file storage. Data is hosted on Convex's servers (US-based).
• Google Gemini — AI model used to process your text.
• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing. Subject to their own privacy policy.
• Gmail (SMTP) — used to deliver login verification codes.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data and credit history for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Credit ledger records may be retained for legal and audit purposes.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication uses short-lived OTP codes — we never store passwords. Profile photos are stored with access-controlled URLs. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to how we process your data

8. Children

Vaaqya is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or a notice in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
